my story...

I grew up watching my mom and dad with a camera. Everywhere we went they were taking pictures, documenting every memory and moment. My dad started a photography business when I was younger and I knew from the moment he did, I would do the same one day.

Fast forward to senior year of high school when I got my first camera.. my dad's. He knew I had a dream and wanted me to pursue it. I started taking pictures at my church and working on social media. One day, one of our friends decided that he wanted to take a chance on me and asked me to shoot for his proposal. Of course I leapt at the opportunity to do it. Except it got crazier, they asked me to do their wedding too (Shoutout Kaitlyn and Matthew). Now, 7 years later, I haven't looked back.

Throughout the past few years I have fallen in love with the art of photography. There is truly something so special about capturing people in the wonderful and mundane moments of life. I love seeking out the beauty in all of the moments and helping others to hold on to them for a lifetime.

I will literally bend over backwards to make sure everybody around me is having the best time and is cared for. Each and every session, whether it be documenting your high school graduation, marrying your best friend, or welcoming your new baby into the world, has immense value. You deserve to be celebrated, cared for, and encouraged! I'm not the loudest or most outgoing gal.. BUT if you need someone to be a calm presence, help solve any conflict that might come up, and help you truly be yourself, you found her!! Oh and you better believe I will be getting down with you on that dance floor.

I pray everything I do, and every moment I capture brings glory to the Lord. One of the biggest encouragements for my business is found in Matthew 6, The Parable of the Lily. "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?..Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." If the Lord finds value and beauty in even the birds and lilies of the fields, how much more does He see in you? As a photographer, I believe it is my purpose to help you see the beauty in even the small moments of your life.

They are literally the best part of me. One of the reasons I absolutely love photography is getting to experience people in moments that they cherish the most. I love freezing these moments in time, and giving you a way to not only see them but feel them over and over again. After having my little girl, I truly wish I could capture each and every moment and detail. She has helped me grow in gratitude, patience, and love in more ways than I can even imagine.
